Submitting Ideas to Artists Unite

Artist Unite is currently a volunteer organization with no paid staff. Artists Unite projects are conducted by "Working Groups" composed of community artists. If you have an idea that Artists Unite might take on in some way, you should be prepared to lead or take a large role on the Working Group for that project. If you have an idea for a project that you think fits the mission of Artists Unite, please submit it as follows:

Draft a 1-2 page narrative (no longer) of your proposed project, including

  • Project description
  • Possible funding (grant, tickets, donations, collaboration, etc.)
  • Desired timeframe
  • How you see your role in the project
  • Resources needed (Cost, people, venue, etc.)
  • Contact information in case we have questions or comments

Send the proposal to:

Peter Ferko
244 Fifth Ave, Ste. 2878
New York, NY 10001

What Happens to Proposed Ideas? Artists Unite (AU) will review proposals as fast as possible given other Steering Committee commitments. (Please be patient.)

  1. The AU Steering Committee will evaluate proposals in terms of feasibility and consistency with the AU mission statement and current budgetary and programming priorities.
  2. The AU Steering Conmittee may give preliminary approval of the project as an AU project or event.
  3. For proposals that have preliminary approval, the AU Steering Committee will assist and authorize the proposer to create a working committee for the project.
  4. The AU Steering Committee will invite and consider a detailed proposal from the working committee.
  5. After receiving a detailed proposal, the AU Steering Committee may then provide ongoing authorization and commitment of resources for the project and/or name affiliation.
  6. Some project proposals may not be feasible when submitted, but may be subjects for future planning. Questions about the process may be directed to artistsunite-ny@artistsunite-ny.org.
