Call for Submissions

Artists Unite is currently soliciting writing on a variety of topics from art criticism to the business of the arts. If you have a piece you would like to publish on the Artists Unite web site, please submit it for consideration electronically as a text file or in the body of an email to websubmission@artistunite-ny.org

"Beyond Specificity" by Katherine Carl. The catalog essay for Now:Here:This (see OnLine Gallery). Katherine Carl is a curator at The Drawing Center. Her independent projects include Flipside ArtsLink at Artists Space, the School of Missing Studies, and her dissertation on art of the 60’s and 70’s in Southeast Europe.

"Response to Questions about the Local Arts Scene." At an artists’ meet and greet and closing reception for an exhibit of B&W photographs called “The Europeans” by Mike Fitelson on Wed., Sept. 15 at Coogan’s Restaurant, attendees were asked to use marking pens to respond to several questions about the local arts scene written on a long sheet of butcher paper.
